TEXAS Property Code § 53.056 mandates that Subcontractors who specially fabricate materials that are unsuitable for use on other projects are entitled to file a Lien Affidavit - Subcontractor if a Specialty Fabricated Materials Notice is sent by Certified Mail to the Owner and other legal parties on a project (Customer, General Contractor, Lender). This helps protect a Subcontractor from the risk of cancellation of an order before delivery.

TEXAS Property Code § 53.056 mandates that Subcontractors who don't have a have a contract with the General/Prime Contractor, they must notify the General/Prime Contractor that they have a contract with a another Subcontractor (Sub of a Sub) with a balance due for supplied equipment, labor, materials or services. This notice must be sent by the 15th day of the second month when there is a balance due. This notice is not to be sent to the Owner.
