LOUISIANA Revised Statutes Annotated § 9:4822(G) mandate that a Statement Of Claim must be recorded within thirty (30) days after the filing of a Notice Of Termination. If a Notice Of Termination has not been filed, a Statement Of Claim must be recorded within sixty (60) days of completion of providing labor or materials or the completion of the entire project. It is recorded at the Recorder Of Mortgages' office in the parish where a project you provided construction related labor, services, equipment or materials is located. A recorded copy of a Statement Of Claim must be sent to the Owner of the improved property, with copies being sent also to the other legal parties (Lender/Surety, Customer).
